Queen Elizabeth Hospital

A £10.6m contract was awarded to revamp part of the historically old Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham

A one year building and refurbishment program saw part of the old Queen Elizabeth Hospital transformed into an Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM). The new ITM building includes a new clinical research facility with laboratories and offices. The educational and social spaces includes a lecture theatre, quiet study rooms, cafeteria, boardroom, LABS and reception. There will also be a new entrance to the North Administration Block with a disabled access ramp – part of the hospital’s plan to provide ‘Step-free accessibility for all’.

DATIM were pleased to manufacture and supply the complete Doorsets and ironmongery package including our INCLUSA PVC Encapsulated Doorsets to the Labs and also the CENTRO Walnut veneered Doorsets to the other areas. Included within DATIM’S package was the ESTILO range of prestigious Stainless Steel Ironmongery to complement the Doorset and the access control requirements including a comprehensive Master Key Suite.
